We:
• Strengthen social cohesion and intercultural dialogue in Dortmund and North Rhine-Westphalia.
• Support civic participation and integration, particularly for migrants and refugees.
• Develop initiatives for young people, education and sustainable cooperation with Africa and the diaspora.
We work in partnership with partner organisations in Africa and internationally, educational institutions, volunteers, donors, financial partners and community leaders to ensure the quality of our programmes.
These actions focus on creating and promoting cultural shows and festivals, strengthening intercultural skills, and supporting the integration of migrants.
The initiatives undertaken include the implementation of projects promoting integration and intercultural encounters, administrative and day-to-day assistance to support people in their efforts, and the provision of interpreters to ensure smooth and accessible communication for all.
These initiatives encompass projects in Africa and the diaspora in the fields of health and education, the promotion of democratic education, cultural activities for young people, the empowerment of disadvantaged women, as well as continuing education and skills transfer to strengthen individual and collective capacities.
These actions bring together socio-educational and extracurricular activities, a youth centre promoting exchanges and leisure activities, child and youth protection, as well as academic support, language learning and introduction to IT.
