Dortmund Connects – Voices of Change is a project that builds on the pilot project Dortmund Connects, representing a phase of consolidation and development, with a particular focus on expanding media productions, increasing public visibility, and sustainably strengthening the Afro Youth Dortmund network.

Dortmund Connects – Voices of Change is a project designed for young
adults aged 19 to 27, particularly those from the African diaspora and
communities affected by discrimination in Dortmund.

The project aims to create a safe, creative, and inclusive space where
young people can freely express themselves, develop their skills, and
strengthen their social participation through artistic, media, and
intercultural activities.

Through workshops in podcasting, video production, photography,
storytelling, music, and digital media, participants have the
opportunity to share their experiences, promote their cultural
identities, and make their voices heard.

The project also focuses on empowerment, combating discrimination,
developing media skills, and building sustainable networks between young
people, associations, and local stakeholders.

As a continuation of the pilot project Dortmund Connects, this new phase
particularly strengthens the public visibility of young people, the
production of media content, and the sustainable development of the Afro
Youth Dortmund network.
